Garbage pickup closures for Friday, Jan. 20
Tue, 01/17/2012
Garbage and recycling service cancellations are in effect on Friday, Jan. 20 due to inclement weather. Here are the latest updates for our area:
Des Moines
CleanScapes provides garbage, yard/food waste and recycling service to residents and businesses in the Cities of Shoreline and Des Moines. As of January 20, 2012, service has been temporarily disrupted because of continued icy and snowy conditions, and all residential collection routes have been cancelled for today.
CleanScapes will provide limited commercial and multi-family service today in both communities, confined to those areas that can be served safely. We will be monitoring weather conditions, and will resume full service as soon as we can safely do so.
Please place all carts (garbage, recycle, food/yard waste) in the usual collection location on your next collection day. Double the amount of garbage will be collected on your next collection day at no extra cost.
Current service updates are available on our website http://www.cleanscapes.com.
SeaTac, Tukwila, Normandy Park, Unincorporated Areas of King County
South King County (Kent, SeaTac, Tukwila, Normandy Park, Covington, Auburn, Renton, Unincorporated Areas of King County): Residential collection of recycle, yard waste and garbage is suspended today due to inclement weather; critical commercial accounts will be serviced on a limited basis. Residents who are missed due to inclement weather, whose normal collection day is Friday (today) may put up to double the load out on their next regularly scheduled collection day.
Burien
WM is not servicing any residential routes today. WM will collect up to twice your regular amount of recycling, garbage and food and yard waste on your next regular service day. WM will be providing collection services for commercial and roll off accounts on a limited basis.
