SPSL District meet
Mount Rainier followed up on its undefeated SPSL North championship season by taking third place as a team at the overall SPSL meet held at Rogers High School in Puyallup this past Saturday.
The Rams scored 196 points behind the 241 of Curtis and the 205 of Kentridge.
Ryan Gansneder of Mount Rainier won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:05.16 and also swam on the 200 free relay that won in 1:35.62.
Next up for the Rams is the state meet to be held February 17-18 at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
Gymnastics
Kennedy-Tyee-Lindbergh-Highline
Lindbergh finished first in Saturday's meet with 137.15 points as Highline scored 135.90, Kennedy Catholic 130.25 and Tyee 69.75.
Kristen Rodal of Highline won the all-around title with 34.40 points, followed by JFK's Charlotte Dittmar with 33.15 and Lindbergh's Jenna Lui with 30.50.
Dittmar won the vault with a score of 8.45 and Rodal and Lui tied for second at 8.4. Rodal was the winner of the bars competition with an 8.9, followed by Kennedy's Dittmar (7.6) and Danielle Carnahan (6.4).
Dittmar also won the beam with an 8.9 and Lui was second with an 8.2 ahead of Rodal's 7.8. Rodal took the floor exercise with a 9.3, followed by Dittmar with an 8.2 and Lindbergh's Makia Williams with a 7.8.
The state gymnastics meet will be held February 17-18 at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Center.
