Incident in the community involving Sylvester student
A 13-year-old Sylvester Middle School student was in a Burien fast food restaurant on April 5 before school when three adult males began making sexual advances toward her and then cornering her so she couldn’t leave the restaurant.
An off-duty County Corrections Officer, intervened so that the girl could get away from the men. The incident has been reported to the Sheriff’s office and the school district security office.

Costco supervisor charged with first-degree theft
Costco supervisor David Norman Hansen Jr., 36, has been charged with first-degree theft, accused of exploiting a loophole in the warehouse giant’s cashier system and stealing nearly $13,000 in cash from a store in Tukwila. In early February, Tukwila police responded to the Costco Wholesale store at 400 Costco Drive. A store manager and a loss-prevention officer had launched an investigation into more than two-dozen fraudulent transactions allegedly performed by Hansen, according to charging papers. Hansen would allegedly credit customers with coupon rebates, then pocket the cash rebates without the customers’ knowledge. In some of the transactions, Hansen allegedly chose random product item numbers from store products with coupons, and then would choose random membership numbers to enter the rebates, the papers say. He was able to access the till using his supervisor pass code.

Tukwila Bank robbery
On April 2 at approximately 4 p.m., a male entered the Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union in Tukwila. The male handed a bank employee a note demanding money. When the male received the money, he left on foot southbound on Andover Park East. A search was conducted using a police K9 with negative results. The suspect was described as a black male in his 30’s, 5’10” with a medium build. The male was wearing a blue baseball hat with a Superman logo on it, dark jacket and dark pants.
