PRESS RELEASE
The first annual B•Town Brewfest, a beer festival fundraiser for the SeaTac Guild of Seattle Children's Hospital, will be held Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Burien
Community Center, 14700 6th Ave. S.W.
There will be two sessions: 11:30 AM - 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM, and you
must be 21 years or older to attend. This new beer-lovers festival will feature local breweries from around the South Puget Sound area pouring their best drafts.
The Highline area (Burien, Normandy Park, Des Moines, and SeaTac) is ready for its very own craft beer event, and this inaugural festival promises not to disappoint event goers.
"We are working hard to feature the very best and unique brews and brewers from around the Puget Sound area," said festival organizer, John Fosberg. "All of the brewers we've spoken to about the event have been very excited about participating, and we're expecting a diverse list of brewers to attend -- and a lot of
incredible beers to choose from."
Advance tickets are $25, and are available online by visiting the Festival's website at http://www.btownbrewfest.com, or at http://www.brownpapertickets.com.
Your ticket admission includes a 2012 commemorative taster cup and ten taster tokens. You may also purchase tickets the day of the event for $30. Additional taster tokens will be on sale during the day of the Festival.
Festival organizers will also be giving away a limited number of free VIP tickets to the festival in a series of online raffles through the Festival's facebook page. Visit
http://www.facebook.com/btownbrewfest and simply "like" the festival page and you're entered to win.
Local businesses can take advantage of sponsorship opportunities provided by the festival.
"We have two-levels of participation for local businesses to choose from," continued Fosberg. "They both provide a huge amount of exposure before, during, and even after the festival in the form of website exposure, facebook shout-outs, event poster, banner and brochure space, and a lot more."
You can find out more information about sponsoring the festival by emailing your contact info to eric@btownbrewfest.com, or by calling (253) 853-2728.
The Festival is not only a great way to sample some very finely crafted beers, but it also benefits a local nonprofit organization, the SeaTac Guild of Seattle Children's Hospital. In 1985, a group of working mothers who got to know each other at their childrens' school events decided they needed to pool their energy and volunteer for a good cause.
After over 25 years, SeaTac Guild continues to
support uncompensated care at Seattle Children's Hospital with craft bazaars, annual auctions — and now the B•Town Brewfest.
"The SeaTac Guild of Seattle Children's Hospital is very excited about being a part of this wonderful
fund-raiser," said Cheryl Becker, President/CEO of the Guild. "We are all working very hard to make this event a great success for the communities, our Guild, and the Seattle Children's Hospital. Please come and enjoy the festival's incredible craft beers and help us continue to help Seattle Children's
Hospital."
