The Lancers made quick work of their close rivals Friday, putting away the Pirates by a 51-0 score in Seamount League action.
Kent-Meridian 45, Mt. Rainier 21
Mount Rainier took a 45-21 loss at the hands of the Kent-Meridian Royals in a South Puget Sound League North Division football game Friday.
It was the second game of a football double-header at Highline Memorial following the Kennedy-Highline game.
Hazen 55, Foster 6
The Foster Bulldogs also went down to a lopsided
defeat Friday, dropping a Seamount League game played at Renton Stadium by a 55-6 score.

Renton 21, Evergreen 7
Evergreen lost a close Seamount League game to the Renton Indians by a 21-7 score at Highline Memorial on Saturday afternoon.

South Puget Sound League meet
Mount Rainier captured third place as a team at Saturday's SPSL meet held at Rogers High School in Puyallup, scoring 186 points behind the 199 of Kentlake and the 209 of Curtis.
Megan Kawaguchi of the Rams won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 58.96 seconds and Mount Rainier won the 200 medley relay in 1:56.23.
The Rams were coming off a 3-2 SPSL North Division finish with a 5-3 overall mark.
Next up for Mount Rainier is the West Central District meet at Curtis High School in University Place. It starts with diving at 4 p.m. Thursday, followed by the swimming preliminaries at 4:30 p.m. Thursday and the swiimming finals at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

SPSL Sub-District
Alem Belete of Foster captured the individual title in the 2A girls portion of Saturday's meet at Fort Steilacoom Park, finishing with a time of 19 minutes, 24.90 seconds.
Jordan McPhee of Mount Rainier took second at the 4A level of the meet with a time of 18:52.40. McPhee is the defending SPSL meet champion and she won the state title in 2011.
The West Central District meet is next, taking place Saturday on the American Lake course near Tacoma. The action runs from 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
