SLIDESHOW: Unique Event Brings Affordable Art to Public Burien Arts’ Vision 20/20 Art Sale Fundraiser
Tue, 11/19/2013
What happens when 20 artists create 20 unique pieces of art to sell for $40 apiece? You get the Burien Arts’ Vision 20/20 Art Sale Fundraiser. Artists from around the Puget Sound are selected to produce a myriad of 8”x8” works in different styles and media. This unique event brings high quality, affordable original works of art to art lovers on a budget. In additional, larger works by many of the 20/20 artists will be for sale through a classic silent auction.
The sixth annual Vision 20/20 event will take place on Saturday, November 23rd at the Burien Community Center, 14700 6th Ave SW, Burien, WA. Doors open at 6:30 PM
Vision 20/20 patrons will enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres while previewing the art work and talking to the artists. The unique part of the event comes at 8:00 PM when, at the sound of a bell, everyone takes the pieces of art they want from the walls. With each piece priced identically at $40 it boils down to a frenzy of active buying! The evening concludes after successful bids for the silent auction pieces are announced at 8:45 PM.
All are invited to attend this fun event and admission is by donation. Make sure you arrive in time to look over the art and find your favorite pieces. Visit www.burienarts.org and Burien Arts’ Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Burien-Arts/296435810409078?ref=br_tf for more information. One-half of the proceeds from the sale of art directly benefits Burien Arts’ year around programs with the balance paid to the artists as commissions.
