High schools
Winter sports
Tryouts are now underway for gymnastics, boys basketball, girls basketball, wrestling and boys swimming, with the first day teams are allowed to compete being Saturday, Nov. 30.
The Evergreen boys will play in the Chief Sealth jamboree that gets underway at 12 p.m. that day while the girls go to Seattle Prep at the same time. Foster's wrestling team is at Roosevelt in Seattle for an 8 a.m. tournament.
College sports
Football
The University of Washington Huskies will pay a 7:30 p.m. visit to Oregon State this coming Saturday, while the Washington State Cougars will be at home in Pullman playing Utah at 12:30 p.m.
Huskies action can be seen on the ESPN 2 cable television network and the Cougars game will be carried on the Pac-12 network.
Men's basketball
The University of Washington men will take on Indiana at 6 p.m. Saturday at the 2K Sports Classic in New York, with the action shown on ESPN 2. The tournament continues Friday.
Washington State University visits Gonzaga for a 6 p.m. Thursday game that will be shown on the ROOT cable sports network before coming home to play Texas Christian University at 3 p.m. Sunday on the Pac-12 cable network.
ROOT will also show Seattle University at Boise State at 6 p.m. this Tuesday.
Women's basketball
Seattle University will visit the University of Washington for a 7 p.m. game this Tuesday, while the Washington State University women are at home playing Fresno State at 7 p.m. Friday.
Neither game is scheduled to be televised.
Seattle University goes on to play at Portland State at 8 p.m. Friday and at Portland in a 4 p.m. game Sunday.

Seahawks
Seattle drew a bye for this week before hosting New Orleans at 5:40 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2. The Monday Night Football game at CenturyLink Field will be shown on ESPN.
Thunderbirds
Seattle hosts the Kelowna Rockets for a 2-for-Tuesday half price game at 7:05 p.m. at the Showare Center in Kent before visiting Vancouver at 7 p.m. Friday and coming back to Showare to play the Portland Winterhawks at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday.
