Enumclaw 59, Kennedy 57
Kennedy Catholic settled for the No. 2 seed out of the Seamount/South Puget Sound League sub-regional tournament with Friday's road loss.
Michael Sasonoff led the Lancers with 24 points as AJ McGrew scored 14, Parker Diller 10 and James Jolly seven.
JFK goes on to play a 6 p.m. West Central District game Tuesday at Rogers High School in Puyallup. The winner plays at 6 p.m. next Friday at Rogers and the loser plays at 7:45 p.m. Friday at Washington High School.
Steilacoom 58, Foster 43
The Bulldogs came up short in Friday's battle for the Seamount/SPSL sub-district's No. 7 seed, settling for the No. 8 spot into the West Central District tournament. They were set to open districts Monday.
Girls basketball
Aub.-Mtn. 50, Kennedy 42
The JFK girls also lost their sub-district championship game to advance as the No. 2 seed to district.
Kennedy opens WCD play Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Clover Park High School.
The winner plays another 6 p.m. game at Clover Park on Friday and the loser plays at 7:45 p.m. Friday at Franklin Pierce.

Girls basketball
Mt. Rainier 61, Tahoma 37
Brittany McPhee scored 27 points to lead the Rams past Tahoma in West Central District action Saturday. Emily Fiso added 17 and Jordan McPhee threw in 13.
Mount Rainier will play Skyview in a 7:45 p.m. game Thursday at Puyallup. The winner plays for the WCD title at 12 Saturday at Pacific Lutheran University and the loser plays for third and fourth place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Auburn High School.
Boys swimming
State
The state boys swimming 2A, 3A and 4A meets will take place Friday and Saturday at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
The 4A finals start off the day Saturday at 10 a.m., followed by the 2A finals at 2:30 p.m. and the 3A at 6:30 p.m.
Wrestling
State Regionals
Kennedy took eighth place as a team with 74 points in the 3A regionals held Saturday and Highline came in 13th with 26.
Zach Edson of Highline took second at 113 pounds with a 10-9 loss in the final and JFK's Sabastian Ferraro was second at 220 after a championship loss by pin in 40 seconds.
In the 2A regional action, Cale Woyvodich of Foster took second at 120 pounds and teammate Luis Cuellar was fourth at 113.
Mount Rainier was 15th in the 4A regional with 15 points.
State action will be held Friday and Saturday at the Tacoma Dome and include all of the above individuals.
The first session runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday and the second runs from 4-9:30 p.m. Friday.
The third lasts from 10 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Saturday with the finals starting at 5 p.m. Saturday.
