Missing teen located after reports of street fighting in Burien
A missing teen was picked up by Burien Police officers after responding to calls reporting fighting on the street in downtown Burien. The incident took place in the late night hours of Thursday, December 4th, when residents of the Burien Town Square condo building and business owners along S.W. 152nd Street called 911 after seeing to girls punching each other following a loud argument. Witnesses reported seeing two girls, one described as a tall white girl in her teens or early twenties and the other described as a short Native American girl in her teens or early twenties, yelling at each other before the Native American girl took a boxing pose and struck the other girl in the face. A number of other men, yelling and cheering, were also reported to be on the scene. Police arrived at Town Square Park just minutes after the girls stopped fighting and part of the group fled into 152nd Street Alley following calls from onlookers on the balcony of one of the Burien Town Square condos who warned the fighters that they were recording the entire event and that they had already called the police. Once officers arrived on the scene they identified the Native American girl as a missing teen who had run away from a group home in Auburn two months earlier. The teen was heavily under the influence of alcohol and told the police that she attacked the “ugly prostitute” with “big black eyelashes” because she had made fun of her. The woman and man who were with the teen told police that they had just met her shortly before and that they didn't know that she was underage or that she was going to attack the other girl. The teen was taken into custody by police officers. The second girl who had fled into the alley before police arrived was not reported to have been identified.
