Still time to vote for Artists United favorite at Burien Arts Gallery

The Artists United Juried Show is in full swing at the Burien Arts Gallery for the month of March. The following prizes were awarded:
1st Place Painting - Nancy Bogni - “The Ballerina”
2nd Place Painting - Vic Kimsey - “Palouse Palette”
3rd Place Painting - Nancy Bogni - “Des Moines Sunset”
1st Place Photography - Stan Lane - “Still Life”
Glendale Heating Vendor Award - Judy Lane - “Raven Winter”
Flax Seed Vendor Award - Janet Price - “Chama River Hunters”
The voting for the People’s Choice will continue throughout the month. Be sure to come to the gallery to vote for your favorite artwork.
The exhibit runs through March 29.
The Juried Art Show is a members-only event. Well-known Seattle artist Pam Ingalls juried the artwork. Pam, whose work may be viewed at www.pamingalls.com also is display one of her works at the exhibit.
Normally, Artists United members display their work in a section of the gallery along with rotating monthly exhibits curated by the Burien Arts Association.
Since 1949, Artists United's mission has been to provide an organization in which artists work together, encourage each other’s creativity, and bring art to South King County.
The members work in a variety of styles and media, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, mixed media, photography, pottery, printmaking, glass and jewelry.
The Burien Arts Gallery, located at 826 S.W. 152nd St. in Olde Burien, is open Wednesday through Saturday, noon-6 p.m. and Sunday, noon-4 p.m. The Gallery is closed Monday and Tuesday.
