Kevin M. Vaughn, the suspect that the officers were serving the warrant on, is believed to be involved with the shooting. He is 6'1 with "Hatred" tattooed across his forehead.
Update: 11:33 a.m.
On Thursday, Aug. 27, two officers with the Tukwila Police Department were serving a warrant at the known home of a biker auto thief when shots were fired on them by two motorcyclists. Neither officer, nor anyone else, was injured and the bikers immediately sped away and back onto I-5 afterward.
The suspect who the warrant was for is a man named Kevin M. Vaugh, a 6’1 biker with “Hatred” tattooed across his forehead who is known as a “prolific” auto thief. After the shooting his photo was distributed as a possible suspect in this shooting.
“He was the subject of interest in the arrest warrant that was associated with the search warrant. He was not on location this morning, hence us putting his information out since we are looking for him. We believe the individuals on the motorcycles were associated with, if not, him,” explained Com. Eric Drever with Tukwila Police.
Around 7a.m. officers with the Tukwila Police arrived at a home on the 14900 block of 51 Ave. S., a home that runs parallel to I-5, to serve a search warrant. The search warrant was regarding a series of auto thefts believed to have been perpetrated by the Resurrection Biker gang, of which Vaughn is known to be a member.
While officers were attempting to enter the home it is believed that someone inside made a phone call to biker members nearby alerting them of police.
Shortly after two motorcyclists pulled to the side on the off ramp of I-5 which is just above the home. From that position the two riders opened fired on police officers standing in front of the home. At least seven shell casings have been recovered but it is believed that more than seven shots were fired.
Both motorcyclists sped away southbound on I-5 immediately afterward.
Police began shutting down large portions of the freeway and are currently hunting for at least two, possibly three suspects (if Vaughn was not one of the shooters).
While searching through the home officers found many guns inside the residence so the ATF has now become involved in the investigation.
If any readers see Vaughn they are asked to call police immediately.

This morning, just after 7 p.m., officers with the Tukwila Police Department were serving a warrant at a home of known motorcycle gang members when shots were fired at them from the freeway. No one was injured but I-5 was quickly shut down and a manhunt initiated.
As KIRO 7 is reporting one of the suspects has possibly been identified as Kevin Vaughn, a biker gang member with the word “Hatred” tattooed across his forehead.
The incident began while the Tukwila Police were serving a warrant for Vaughn who is wanted for his participation in auto theft. The ATF is said to now be getting involved since it has been learned that Vaughn has a store of guns in his home.
