Just after 4pm Burien Police responded to a report of a shooting at the Heights Apartment complex in the 13700 block of 12 Ave SW.

Witnesses heard at least one gunshot and then saw a man on the ground and a vehicle leaving the immediate area. When police arrived they found the man in a parking lot with an apparent gunshot wound.

King County Medics responded and attempted to resuscitate the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not identified the man yet but believe he is a Hispanic male in his mid to late teens.

Witnesses said a dark colored, 4 door vehicle was seen leaving the area after the shooting and said a group of people who had been on foot in the area were also seen leaving the area of the shooting.
