August 27, 1925 ~ January 15, 2016

Born to parents Lawrence and Myrtle Ellington, longtime residents of Des Moines, Washington, Lois resided there most of her life.

She graduated from Highline High School 1943, joined the Cadet Nurse Corp 1944, and graduated from Swedish Hospital School of Nursing 1947. Lois married Lee Roberts in 1954, enjoying 47 years together until his death.

Lois was a loving mother to Martha Kindell, Neil Roberts and Barbara Chin.

She was a member of JayCee Wives, Hoot-N-Holler Square Dance Club, Girl Scouts of America as a Leader and Trainer, and the Des Moines United Methodist Church. She enjoyed time with family and friends, camp fires, travel, playing cards, and reading mysteries and romances.

In Lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to your favorite charity. Lois’s were Seattle Children’s Hospital and Seattle area Girl Scouts.
