It's been an area without a place to meet, or watch a game, or just chill for some time now, but finally Boulevard Park has a comfortable, high quality place to go. The Flightpath bar is now open at 1832 South 120th Street and it's ready to serve up an array of pub/bar food from buffalo chicken strips, to pulled pork sliders and more along with a full bar featuring local beers and wines plus your favorite cocktails. 

Owner Dan Austin, who also owns Peel and Press in West Seattle's Morgan Junction said it has been a long road to get the new business open. "It took a long time, more than three months, and a lot of work but we got it done."

There are multiple large screens to show a variety of sports (all on the same channel when the Hawks are on), a garage door up front to let the sunshine in, two pool tables, Dart game machines, a skeeball and the World's largest PacMan game. Coming up will be a patio area out back still in the planning stages.

All the tables were made from reclaimed shipping crates and a long bench on the east wall serves the seating needs of a dozen tables. The 3100 square foot space used to be called Wayne's World but it closed last year, leaving the area without a meeting space or sports bar.

Austin stepped in to renovate the space, add some high end kitchen equipment, the TV's, and clean up the area outside. 

He's proud to be able to be a "neighborhood hub" and says people from the area have been stopping by frequently to thank him for investing in the area. 

For now as they get their feet under them, the Flightpath will be open from 3pm to 12:30 on weeknights and 3pm to close on weekends.
