A Burien man was arrested and booked into jail after a physical fight on Sunday Sept. 24 lead to another man’s death.
Just before 9:30pm Sunday, police were dispatched to a fight in progress in the 12400 block of Ambaum Blvd SW. When deputies arrived they contacted a group of people in the area and saw a man on the ground bleeding from his head.
The injured man, 57 years of age from Burien, was unresponsive and taken to Harborview Hospital with a serious head injury. Witnesses at the scene initially told police the man had fallen and hit his head. Detectives later located other witnesses who said the victim had been in a physical fight with another subject who pushed or struck him causing him to fall over a wall and hit his head.
