Assault at Burien Library
Around 5 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 14, a library worker was punched, after telling someone to leave the Burien Library, 400 S.W. 152nd St., at closing time. The suspect was gone when police arrived.
Burien Nissan burglary
Two vehicles were stolen from the back parking lot of Burien Nissan, 16042 1st Ave. S., around 9:40 p.m. on Wed., Oct. 11. Suspects climbed over a fence to get in and rammed a large gate to get out of the lot. Both vehicles were recovered. No suspect information is available.
Stealing from the beauty supply store
Around 7 p.m. on Tues., Oct. 10, two suspects walked into a beauty supply store located on the 100 block of S.W. 148th Street and stole $700 worth of hair irons. They ran out of the shop to a Subaru Outback and fled from the scene of the crime.
Burglarized at church
A suspect kicked down the front door of a home located on the 400 block of S.W. 154th Street around 10 a.m. on Tues., Oct. 10 and stole cash. The victim was at church when the crime occurred.
Man with hatchet scares people passing by
A man was standing, smoking and playing with a hatchet at the Metro Transit Center, 14900 4th Ave. S.W., around 9:45 a.m. on Mon., Oct. 9. Officers confiscated the hatchet, as the man was making people nervous. They said he was “talking a bit crazy.”
Threating suspect found with meth
Around 1:50 p.m. on Mon., Oct. 9, a man was arrested after threatening to kill someone, who he had been calling racist slurs at the Golden Smoke Shop, 15302 1st Ave. S. The man also threatened to kill the arresting officer and other deputies. When he was searched by police, they found him to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Burglarized while sleeping
The occupant of a home on the 10800 block of 24th Avenue S. was inside sleeping when the place was burglarized around 4 p.m. on Mon., Oct. 9. The front door was kicked in, and an iPhone was recovered from the scene as evidence.
