Emily Zacharias captured a third and a fifth place finish for Highline High School in the Class 2A competition at the state swimming and diving championships Saturday.
Zacharias scored her third place finish in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2 minutes, 14.28 seconds and finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.35.
Highline opened the action at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way by taking eighth in the 200 medley relay in 1:58.41 and finished with a 10th in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:54.90.
Ariceli Felix took 12th for the Pirates in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:04.04 and teammate Marianna Cate finished 15th in diving with 217.15 points.
Jolie Ruiz of the Pirates took 20th in the 200 free in 2:07.85.
Highline placed 22nd in the 200 free relay in 1:53.85.
