Two local teams dropped from the winner's bracket in their respective West Central District basketball tournaments with losses Friday.

The Kennedy Catholic boys took a narrow 51-48 defeat at the hands of Curtis in the 4A classification, while the Foster girls journeyed to Port Angeles and took a 55-30 loss to the Roughriders.

Kennedy returns to action at 6 p.m. Monday, playing Bellarmine at Wilson High School in Tacoma.

Foster goes to Wilson to play Steilacoom at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.
