The West Seattle fastpitch softball and Highline boys soccer teams both made their presence felt as they opened playoff action Tuesday.
The Wildcats blasted Nathan Hale by a 10-0 score in the Metro League fastpitch tournament as the Pirates opened West Central District soccer action with a 3-2 victory over Sequim.
Franklin Pierce in Parkland hosted the soccer and the Southeast Athletic Complex near Rainier Beach was the site of the softball.
Highline plays Franklin Pierce at Franklin Pierce in a 7 p.m. match Saturday.
West Seattle will be at home at the Southwest Athletic Complex next to Chief Sealth at 6 p.m. Thursday playing Bainbridge.
Win or lose the Wildcats will play again Friday.
