South Highline National came all the way back through the loser's bracket after an opening loss to earn the right to play West Seattle for the District 7 Major Little League baseball all-star tournament championship.
National will meet the Westsiders at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Bar-S complex in West Seattle, needing to win that game to force a second and final game for the title and the state tournament berth that goes with it at 6 p.m. Friday.
National opened the tournament by taking a narrow 5-4 loss to Renton on Saturday, but bounced back to beat Seattle Central the next morning, 16-4.
South Highline was a 5-3 winner over Rainier District on Monday before downing PacWest, 4-3, Tuesday.
National went on to defeat Renton, 10-7, in Wednesday's loser's bracket final.
Renton had narrowly lost Tuesday's winner's bracket final to West Seattle, 2-1.
