Des Moines, WA – Gen. Barry McCaffrey will speak at a meeting of the Rotary Club of Des Moines and Normandy Park on Wednesday, March 13 at noon.
The public is invited to attend the luncheon, held at the Four Points by Sheraton at 22406 Pacific Highway South in Des Moines. Attendees are asked to RSVP on the Rotary Club website.
McCaffrey is a retired four-star Army general and current national news commentator, professor and business consultant. He served in the Clinton administration as the Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy. He is the recipient of two Distinguished Service Crosses for valor, two Silver Stars, and three Purple Heart medals. He was inducted into U.S. Army Ranger Hall of Fame in 2007.
He is an outspoken advocate for veteran's issues in veterans' courts, and a supporter of the mission and projects of Rotary International.
