High winds are predicted from the Washington coast to the Puget Sound interior starting around 11pm Friday night. That means the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory.
WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM PST SATURDAY...
* WHAT...South winds 30 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
* WHERE...Southwest Interior, Everett and Vicinity, Tacoma Area, Admiralty Inlet Area, Hood Canal Area, Eastern Strait of Juan de Fuca, East Puget Sound Lowlands, Bellevue and Vicinity, Seattle and Vicinity and Bremerton and Vicinity.
* WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to 6 AM PST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
Beyond the wind the atmospheric river sometimes called the Pineapple Express will bring heavy rain to the area over the next few days.
