You have just one more Sunday to enjoy theater outdoors in the park for free with Burien Actors Theatre (BAT). Catch Rachel Rene’s clever adaptation for BAT of the comedy Fallen Angels Sunday, Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. in Des Moines Beach Park.
Support our local eateries by making this a dinner and a show event. Bring takeout to the performance, or dine out before or after.
In BAT’s totally ‘70s version of Fallen Angels, when the love grows but the passion fizzles in Jane and Julia’s respective marriages, the two best friends freak over a sudden visit from the far-out Frenchman they both had flings with before marriage. Can these hilarious, chaos-causing chicks mellow out and get real? Rachel Rene has adapted Noel Coward’s comedy, moving it from 1920s London to 1972 Seattle.
There is no admission charge. Be sure to bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Performances run approximately 90 minutes. Sponsors of this final performance are the City of Des Moines, as well as 4Culture, with special thanks to Kennedy Catholic High School and the Highline School District.
Des Moines Beach Park is located at 22030 Cliff Ave. S., Des Moines, WA 98198, and the performance will be in the meadow—look for the purple tents. For details, go to: https://battheatre.org/shows/current-season/fallen-angels.
