A man, appearing intoxicated and carrying a "Wild Turkey" bottle, pestered a woman at an Alki-business patio to give him a ride. She refused but he continued to make small talk as she avoided him. He suddenly grabbed her cell phone from her hand and walked off. When the woman described the man to officers a bit later, they realized that the suspect was already in custody for a nearby altercation. The 35-year-old Tacoma resident was booked into King County Jail for investigation of strong-arm robbery. In the other incident, he was booked for investigation of obstruction and on two outstanding warrants ($10,000 harassment from Seattle and $3,000 theft from King County).
Driving too fast down 52nd SW, a 20-year-old North Seattle resident rammed his car into some landscaping rocks. It flipped and landed on its roof in the middle of the road. Neighbors came out to assist and called 911. One passenger's arm was trapped between the roof and the road. He was taken to Harborview. Before officers arrived, the driver was seen removing the license plates and fleeing. He remains at large.
On SW Kenyon, a woman let her husband into her home after he arrived from Florida and claimed to have nowhere to stay. (She had filed divorce papers against him.) She called 911 and related to officers that he had been alternately nice and verbally abusive and that he had balled his fist up and acted like he was going to hit her. The 44-year-old suspect was uncooperative and had to be forcibly "reminded" by officers to stay on a couch during questioning. As officers had him gather his things, the suspect told the victim, in what the report calls "an intimidating voice," that this was all her fault, swearing at her repeatedly and tell her "You're finished." He was told to leave and not come back. Fifteen minutes later the victim called 911 saying he had returned. Officers found him nearby. He was booked into King County Jail for investigation of domestic violence harassment. His wife, crying and shaking told officers repeatedly that she didn't want anything to happen to the suspect. She was advised to get a protection and anti-harassment order and was provided with domestic violence information.

Pellet gun damage occurred in the 8500 block of 16th SW ($450 damage to a window), 4000 block of Thistle ($400 car window shot out). In one case, a witness saw a late 80s gold, 4-door Honda Civic leave the scene.
A wheelchair-bound citizen reports that when he went to visit his ill father, a woman there spat in his face and told him to leave. When he refused, he alleges she took his electric wheelchair controls and started banging and crashing him into kitchen cabinets. Officers photographed scratches on his right arm, shoulder, and neck.
A couple got into an argument, with the woman concerned that the man wants to control her and doesn't want her going anywhere without him. The suspect began to shake the woman and yell that she had "ruined his life." The woman got away and tried to call 911, but the suspect threw the phone across the room. He then hit her on the back of the head, slammed her repeatedly against a bed, then placed his forearm across her throat and rested his weight on her. She was finally able to escape (with her daughter). The suspect remains at large.
On 44th SW, someone broke into a car and stole around $4,000 worth of scuba gear.
Someone standing on the Fauntleroy Way overpass (near 35th SW) dropped eggs on a passing car, causing dents on the hood and front bumper.
A witness in the 11000 block of Arroyo Beach Place saw a white female in her 20s, with a black male juvenile, steal outgoing mail from a mailbox. The thieves were riding in a black Land Rover and remain at large.
On California Avenue, a business owner arrived at work and discovered spray-foam insulation applied to the windows and entry doors and door lock. Eggs were smashed against the exterior as well. He doesn't know why anyone would target him.
A man took a break from working in the yard and discovered that someone had removed a screen from his bedroom window, entered his home, and stolen his wallet.
Both a father and daughter were booked into custody for investigation of domestic violence assault after an argument over a dog escalated into fisticuffs. Father allegedly grabbed daughter around the neck, and the angry daughter allegedly assaulted the mom and her own sister.
An alert citizen called 911 to report to juveniles writing graffiti at Alki. He also told officers that he had seen the boys go to the bathroom at the Bathhouse. One went in while the other stood watch. After finding and detaining the boys, officers checked the bathroom and found fresh markings on the bathroom mirror and walls. Both were released to the custody of their parents.
