He knew the drill but not the law

A resident called 911 to report seeing a man trying to enter a back door of a home. The suspect was actually using a drill to remove the door. When officers arrived, the man ignored their questions and started to walk into the house, against their orders to stop and drop to the floor. Inside the home, officers could see a baseball bat and a 3-foot sword. Two women began yelling at the officers, who took the man to the ground. He remained hostile and uncooperative and was wanted on two warrants, one for contempt and one for theft. He was booked into King County Jail for investigation of obstruction.
On Sylvan Way, a construction worker flagged down a car that had driven past the road barriers and informed the driver that the road was closed for repair. The driver displayed a semi-automatic handgun and stated, _I can drive wherever I want to.
South of the Junction, a man called 911 three times: once to report prowlers in the alley (none were found) and once to report someone hiding in the yard. (The officer had the man point to the suspect, which turned out to be a bush.) The third time, the citizen reported seeing a man point a gun at another, and direct the officer_s attention to an unoccupied van parked on the street. The citizen admitted that he had been fasting for two days, but that he had indulged in four or five beers the night before. He refused to go to Harborview voluntarily, so the officer had him transported for an involuntary mental evaluation.
On California SW, a man was hired to do some landscaping. Suddenly, a woman poked her head out of a nearby apartment and yelled at him to stop. When he didn_t, she threw 18 eggs at him. She told officers she was tired of the noise caused the by landscaping. While she cleaned up her mess with paper towels, officers suggested that she contact the owners of the next door property with her noise concerns.
At a bus stop in the 8200 block of Delridge Way, a man asked another for the time. After being provided the answer, he just stood there and asked the time again. Then a third time, screaming at the man with the watch. When the man with the watch said he didn_t appreciate being screamed at, the suspect said, _Don_t talk to me like that,_ and began hitting the victim with a closed fist. He was last seen running southbound. The suspect is a black male, about 5_9_, with long wavy hair and a hat. He wore dark clothing and shorts.
Unknown persons are breaking into construction sites throughout West Seattle and stealing tens of thousands of dollars of construction equipment and tools.
On Monday morning, three fires broke out on the campus of West Seattle High School. Fire investigators believe they were deliberately set.
Overnight Friday, unknown persons broke two storefront windows in the Junction area, causing $3,000 damage.
In South Park and in the Roxbury area, three women, ages 50, 57, and 34, were arrested for offering and agreeing to an act of prostitution.
Someone fired a handgun through the bedroom window of a residence in the 8600 block of 35th SW.
