Rock-a-bye baby

A local woman called it quits with her boyfriend after she looked in her child's diaper bag and found a scale (used for weighing drugs) inside. But wait, there's more: Inside the container of powdered infant formula she found a bag of rock cocaine.
On Saturday evening, when her ex-boyfriend began to act paranoid and exhibited other odd behavior, a woman tried to take him to Harborview for help. But he jumped from the car and ran into the Admiral Safeway parking lot. He eluded medics, so two officers were called to the scene and caught the man as he ran into traffic on California Avenue. He was eventually transported to Harborview by ambulance for a mental evaluation.
A 42-year-old man was arrested after he punched his 65-year-old, disabled landlord in the face several times. He also threatened to harm several cats who live at the apartment on Corson Ave. S. The landlord was able to make it back to his residence, but he left a trail of blood and needed stitches to close a laceration on his nose.
Acting on a tip, officers visited a woman suspected of selling heroin from an apartment in Highland Park. In her bedroom, officers found drug paraphernalia sitting on an end table. She admitted that she had two syringes full of heroin under her bed pillow and an ounce of heroin in her sock drawer. Although she was also wanted on a theft warrant from Issaquah, the woman was not booked into jail due to a severe medical condition. She will face drug charges, however. Officers disposed of the drugs and paraphernalia.
An unknown black male, aged 18-25, fired several shots from a 9mm weapon into the air and at an apartment in the 9000 block of 16th SW Monday afternoon while numerous children were in the area. None were hurt. Officers report that a _very hostile_ female (who apparently lived in the apartment where a bullet was found) appeared on the scene, and that she was not forthcoming about the shooting, the shooter, or why her apartment might have been targeted.
A woman called 911 to have her _drunk daughter_ removed from the apartment. Officers who arrived at the scene were assaulted by both the daughter and her husband, who was intoxicated as well. Then, when they tried to take the two suspects from the residence, mom apparently changed her mind and blocked the doorway (until she was forcibly removed by a sergeant). The daughter (21) and son-in-law (38) were booked into King Count Jail for investigation of assault. Son-in-law faces an additional charge of resisting arrest, and mom will be charged with obstruction.
