I want to congratulate the entire board of the Alki Community Council for the exceptional job they did putting together and presenting to members the question of whether to allow parking in the 1100 to 1700 block on Alki. They had a fair, balanced and cogent presentation of the issues, laid out in a very well run meeting.

In the end, Alki Community Council members made it overwhelmingly clear to the board, who will make it known to the City of Seattle, that allowing parking along the present no parking section of Alki will not improve the quality of life for the residents of Alki or its visitors, and it is not something the Alki community desires.
