It was very interesting to read in the Nov. 22 issue all the articles and editorials about how we need more police. What do we need more police for?

I found it very ironic that a couple of weeks ago I got a ticket for riding a bicycle without a helmet. I took two patrol cars 25 minutes to write me the ticket.

Who knows what they were doing sitting in their cars for so long. I think their time could have been more wisely spent patrolling our streets for thugs and real criminals instead of ticketing me, an apparent menace to society for riding a bike without the proper hat.
