The YMCA of Greater Seattle has been a volunteer-driven agency since its founding in 1876. We could not serve our communities as we do without the support of thousands of volunteers who give so generously at the YMCA each year.
Last week, the YMCA honored its Volunteers of the Year from 2006 at the YMCA's annual meeting at Benaroya Hall. These volunteers stand out from their peers because of their dedication and passion for service, and for the value they have added to the YMCA with their time and talent. Please join us in congratulating the YMCA Volunteers of the Year from our own community.
From the Fauntleroy YMCA, the Volunteers of the Year are: Denisha Teague, Marty Ofsowitz, Robert Fulford and Barbara Maurer.
From the West Seattle Family YMCA, the Volunteers of the Year are: Erica Cross, Ray Stephens, Sue and Don Bird, Jeanne Krikawa and Walter Reese.
These volunteers have each in their own way strengthened our YMCAs and the work that we do in the West Seattle community. Thank you, Fauntleroy and West Seattle Volunteers of the Year. We could not do what we do without each of you.
