The Greater West Seattle "Neighbors in Business" Open House is set for Tuesday, June 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Brockey Conference Center at South Seattle Community College in West Seattle. Businesses from throughout West Seattle and White Center will be on hand to meet, greet and introduce the public to their services. Last year the event was held in the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center but with the growth of the Open House it was moved to the Brockey Center.
Over 35 businesses will be in attendance this year with several from the White Center area for the first time. The Open House is co-sponsored by the West Seattle Chamber and the White Center Community Development Association.
Admission and parking is free. Food and refreshments will be available along with free giveaways. "Neighbors in Business" is the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce's second annual business fair. Chamber President Jerome Cohen said one of the main goals is to showcase local businesses in a fun setting.
"This is a great chance for everyone to learn about the diversity and quality of businesses in West Seattle and White Center," Cohen said. "It's a chance to help local residents simplify their lives by doing business right here."
"Neighbors in Business" will help peninsula residents discover that they can:
* Save time and money by avoiding a commute to shop.
* Meet many consumer needs through a wide array of businesses right here.
