Descriptions by witnesses helped officers nab suspected Admiral-area burglars on Thursday, around 10 am. Two suspects---a 16-year old male from south Seattle and a 15-year-old from Renton?were spotted running from the scene of two separate incidents, one on 37th SW and one on 38th SW. They were found inside a California Avenue business, identified, and booked into the Youth Service Center for investigation of burglary. A third suspect?18 years old--was later picked up at West Seattle High School and booked into King County Jail for investigation of burglary. In both cases, alert neighbors and bystanders had called 911 and even asked the suspects what they were doing in the area.

Employees at a local restaurant called 911 for a woman who was assaulted in their parking lot early Saturday. The sobbing, disheveled (she had only one shoe) victim told officers that her boyfriend pushed her into the car, punched her in the throat with a closed fist and slapped her in the face multiple times. Other officers spotted the boyfriend driving on the West Seattle Bridge. He not only denied being involved, but he denied even knowing the victim. Too bad her other shoe was under the passenger seat. He was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault and domestic violence.

At a Delridge convenience store, a customer presented a fake $20 to pay for purchases. The clerk challenged him about the bill, kept it, and said he?d call the cops. The customer told him to go ahead and do so, but decided to leave (without his purchases) after a brief argument. The bill was, indeed, fake.

A citizen called 911 to report that a hunting knife and a pair of black panties were lying in the parking strip of a Marine View Drive home. An officer picked up the items and turned them over to the evidence unit.

An Alki resident heard a loud noise around 2 a.m. and discovered that someone had entered his yard and pushed over and broken two lamp-post lights.
