In her recent letter to the editor, Penny Pritchard Clifton asks what the is the point of questioning her family's ethnic origin.

Does Penny not understand that the people of White Center, who are largely minorities, have questioned Penny's brother, Russ Prichard, as to why there are no minorities on the North Highline Unincorporated Council?

Your newspaper has printed an article stating that Russ is one quarter "Native American." It is apparent that there are people who question Russ' honesty as he makes this statement.

It has nothing to do with their family wearing a tribe name and number on their chest. It has nothing to do with what she "teaches" to preschool children.

This is a very sensitive issue to those community members who are so ethnically diversified.

I find the insensitivity of your newspaper and Russ Pritchard to be appalling! Shame on you.
