Burien residents are invited to learn more about their city at two community meetings that will be held in neighborhood schools.
These community meetings focus on the city's various programs and services, and not on any one topic.
A community meeting specifically on Town Square will be held Thursday, Sept. 15, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Burien City Hall.
The first meeting will be Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Hazel Valley Elementary School.
On Wednesday, Oct. 26, the second meeting will be at Sylvester Middle School, 16222 Sylvester Rd. SW.
All community meetings will begin with an open house at 6:30 p.m. where residents can learn from displays about the multi-purpose services and facilities in Burien.
Residents will have the opportunity to talk with their city council members, the city manager, and other top city officials, and to offer their ideas about municipal services.
The open house will be followed by a question-and-answer session from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Community meetings are part of the city council's commitment to communicate with all Burien residents by coming to neighborhoods.
Refreshments will be available.
