The public is invited to join mystery and suspense authors Donna Anders and Kevin O'Brien for book signings on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the Southcenter Barnes & Noble Bookstore.

In addition, poet Vickie Edwards will host a day-long poetry workshop at the bookstore as part of a Bookfair to benefit the Ruth Dykeman Children's Center in Burien.

Proceeds from the sale of any Barnes and Noble merchandise, except gift cards, memberships or cafe consumables, will be donated to the Second Story project at the Children's Center.

A special voucher presented with a purchase will signal Barnes and Noble that a donation from that purchase is to be made to the Center.

Vouchers can be found at IKEA, on the Redmond Microsoft campus and Key Bank in Burien.

Second Story teaches troubled 17-20 year olds to rebuild their lives.

These young victims of abuse and physical and emotional devastation, who have lead difficult lives, are given the opportunity to start again through hard work and a willingness to learn.
