As a parent with children at Des Moines Elementary, I’m aware that our school generally requires funds for emergency repairs, as we lost two school days this year when the antiquated boiler blew, taking a fire door and a window along with it.

Des Moines Elementary is a marvelous school, and very well-maintained, but she’s old and occasionally needs to be patched up. Money will be included in this bond for exactly this type of emergency repair, so funds won’t be siphoned from the classroom.

Please vote Yes for this Bond measure on March 14.
