Assault, extortion, kidnapping: July 18 - A 27-year-old man was arrested in SeaTac after assaulting his girlfriend, and was charged with extortion and kidnapping her 4-year-old daughter.
The 27-year old Federal Way woman told officers she got off the bus at Pacific Highway South and S. 272nd St. that morning when her ex-boyfriend pulled up along side of them, grabbed her daughter and told her to get in the car or she would never see her daughter again.
He drove them to SeaTac where he pulled over, told her to get out of the car and start "working," making her prostitute herself for money.
The woman refused and was punched in the mouth, splitting her lip. The suspect then drove away with her daughter.
After going to Valley Medical Center to receive six stitches, she called 911 and provided information about the suspect.
He was arrested a short time later at his cousin's at S. 176th St. and 32nd Ave. S.
The girl was unharmed.
