Eric Mathison has every right to his opinion regarding President Bush, Republicans, Conservatives or anything else, but your position that the vast majority of both the print and broadcast news are not left wing biased just flies in the face of both common sense and the facts.
Over 90 percent of reporters, editors and broadcasters identify themselves as either liberal or liberal leaning. Numerous independent studies have also shown that the news is overwhelmingly biased to the left. I'm sure that you actually know this already but are deluding yourself into believing that even though the great majority of your colleagues are also liberal, they still report the news fairly without any bias.
The only way to get fair and balanced reporting of the news is to have conservatives represented in the various news organizations in greater numbers.
Speaking of fair and balanced, you call a certain "conservative cable ‘news’ station" bias to the right. They only reason FOX seems biased to you is because you are so used to having all of the news spun to the left for so many years. Only been in the last few years has this county had any widely available alternative reporting of the news available.
Thank God for FOX news, talk radio and the internet. They're like radio free America.
When I was in military intelligence during the Vietnam war, I was shocked by how much Americans news sounded just like propaganda that came from the Russians, Chinese and North Vietnamese. There were several times when I knew first hand the true story, and what got reported in America was the same as what the communists put out, which was either a total lie or a gross distortion.
Prior to this experience I considered myself a liberal Democrat. It was this experience that first began to open my eyes.
By the way, there was a vast difference in the alleged irregularities in Ohio and Florida and what happened here in Washington. If you don't realize that our election of governor was a complete fraud then you are sadly ill informed.
