The Highline Education Association (HEA) has endorsed Mengstab Tzegai for election to his first full term on the Highline School Board.

Tzegai, who was appointed to the board in 2004, will be opposed by Susan Goding in November's general election. There is no primary election for this position, Seat 3.

The HEA reported that both candidates would bring unique skills to the position, but the endorsement committee recommended returning Tzegai to the school board because, "his skills are invaluable in such a diverse district and it is believed that he will continue to be a strong proponent of public education for all students."
