Burien City Councilwoman Sally Nelson has been endorsed for re-election by the King County Police Officers Guild.

Nelson is being challenged by political newcomer Bob Sheen.

In their letter of endorsement, guild members stated they are "impressed with your views and positions on public safety issues."

Nelson said she is " honored to have their support."

She is also a member of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Steering Committee for the National League of Cities, and has made police policy one of her key priorities.
