Hasn't our community suffered enough from antics and drama of the past?
I am wondering why Burien businesses cannot resolve their supposed conflicts and differences away from the newspaper spotlight.
Second, why is your newspaper not focusing on more positive newsworthy stories in the community?
Third, what is the real, underlying motivation of Ralph Nichols in regard to Discover Burien's Executive Director, Debra George?
The business owners mentioned need to grow up and stop being whiners. I plan to spend my money elsewhere-away from Vino Bello Wine Shop, Primo and Mick Kelly's Irish Pub. I urge others to do the same. Perhaps in time, these business owners will wise up and learn that they attract customers and their businesses will flourish when they are kind and supportive toward one another.
Businesses don't "compete" heavily in Burien-they support one another.
I am puzzled by what Ralph Nichols plans to gain from writing this. Perhaps he feels powerful. Perhaps he is sitting back gloating. He certainly has not demonstrated his integrity as a Journalist.
It's a sad day when the Highline Times stoops to such a low level to "air dirty laundry."
The contents of Ralph Nichols' column on page 6 were nothing new, as they had already been featured in his front-page story. One "character assassination" story about Debra George apparently was not enough. In the same issue, he had to print two.
