Vincent Cordova scored the Wolverines' only touchdown in the first quarter, catching a 65-yard pass from Luther Leonard. The conversion kick failed, leaving Evergreen with only six points.
Girls soccer
Columbia River 1, Highline 0
The Pirates' season also came to a close Saturday, Nov. 4 -- only it was in soccer.
Erin Paschall scored the winning goal for Columbia River. Teagan Ryan recorded the shutout.

The Lancers survived a battle with the Seahawks on Saturday, Nov. 4.
Jackie Thomas scored JFK's only goal on an unassisted play in the 70th minute and Ashley Engel recorded the shutout on goal.
SCS 2, Meridian 0
Seattle Christian won the 1A West Central District's No. 1 berth with its Saturday, Nov. 4 victory.
Alyssa Harney scored on an assist by Noelle Simpson in the 30th minute and Tianna Homad on an Elissa Kane assist in the 33rd.
Jessica Kane recorded the shutout.

Kennedy at state
Kennedy swept through its first three opponents at the state Class 3A tournament in Kennewick, advancing them into Saturday semifinal action (after press time).
The Lancers opened with a 25-17, 25-21, 25-10 victory over Skyline ahead of a 25-19, 25-17, 25-22 championship quarterfinal win over Olympic.
Stephanie Slatt scored 13 kills and seven digs in the win over Shoreline and Kailey Hutchinson added five kills.
The semifinals, finals and placement games were all scheduled this past Saturday at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.
Sequim 3, Foster 1
Sequim ended the Bulldogs' state hopes with the opening round win.
Kennedy 3, Camas 1
The Lancers scored a 25-21, 22-25, 25-21, 25-18 playoff win over Camas Saturday, Nov. 4.
Evergreen Lutheran
Evergreen Lutheran opened with a 3-0 victory over Darrington Saturday, Nov. 4 before winning their West Central District 2B tournament second game, 3-1, over Rainier Christian. The Eagles then took a 3-0 semifinal loss to La Conner.
Sumner 3, Kennedy 1
Kennedy advanced to the 3A district championship semifinals but took a 25-21, 25-23, 10-25, 25-22 loss to Sumner when it got there.
The Lancers finished as the No. 3 state seed from the West Central District with a 3-1 placement win over Camas.
