The PC police have run amok! People across the globe, lighten up. Don't be so easily offended and take a step back and a deep breath. The empowering of one or a small minority that impacts the majority must stop.

It was not the vision of our Founding Fathers to have a few run with enormous impact over the majority. The truth is that someone always will be offended; so my message to them is respectfully, Get over it! Move on.

It is the inherent nature of our democracy that not all will be content, someone will unhappy. This is simply the price we have to pay in order to live in our society.

The removing of anything with religious connotations, banishment of all that mentions God, even the celebration of pagan rituals will be the casualty of the PC concerned.

What will be left on our eventual reformed calendar? Hardly anything, because someone will take offense at every event or holiday.

Is this what we want our society to become? Homogenized to the point where it is devoid all festivities and joy.

I am admittedly old school, nostalgic during the holidays, but am getting increasingly weary of hearing terms like "winter break" or "happy holidays" and inwardly yearn of earlier, less secular times.

So this is my pledge to you. If you meet me on the street, feel free to say merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, Kwanza, Ramadan, whatever, I will guarantee a smile in return and wish you many happy returns.

I for one am tired of walking on eggshells, and wish to stop the tyranny of those few so easily offended. I would like to see a reversal happen, a cry from the victims of the PC brown shirts for the denial of their liberties.
