An Air Force flight nurse from Burien was promoted to the rank of major on March 29.
Teresa Trillo has been a member of the Air Force Reserves for 29 years, serving in both the enlisted and officer corps.
During 2005 she deployed twice for 120-day tours in Washington, D.C., and St. Louis, providing in-flight medical care to ill and injured service members during their transport to multiple bases within the United States.
In her civilian career, Major Trillo is an instructor in the Highline Community College Nursing Program and a per diem emergency nurse at Highline Medical Center.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Adams of Des Moines, and graduated from Highline Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing, the University of Washington Tacoma with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Seattle Pacific University with a Master of Science in Nursing.
Major Trillo has been married to Javier Trillo for more than 25 years and has three adult daughters, Julie, Amber and Jacqui, who are all uniquely talented.
