New Cedarhurst School damaged in fire
Highline School District officials say it is too early to tell whether the new Cedarhurst Elementary School will open in September following a stubborn roof fire on Saturday.
A welder's torch may have touched off the blaze at the school that was under construction.
About 100 firefighters fought the blaze.

Arrest ends robbery caper
July 12-FBI agents arrested a suspected bank robber, dubbed "Slack Jaw Jimmy," who was wanted for a series of holdups.
The 52-year-old man was arrested around 2:45 a.m. at the Legend Motel, 22204 Pacific Hwy. S., in Des Moines.
FBI spokesman Larry Carr said "Slack Jaw Jimmy" allegedly hit the West Seattle branch of the Washington Federal Savings Bank for the second time on July 11.
Carr said the man, who also held up that bank on July 6, earned the nickname because in several surveillance-camera stills his mouth was agape.

Boy survives apartment fall
July 11-A 16-month-old boy survived a fall from an open second-story window at the Avenues Apartments, 10765 14th Avenue S.W. in the Top Hat neighborhood.
According to the King County Sheriff's Office, the toddler was not seriously injured and was on the mend.

Semi truck burglar nabbed
July 12-King County Sheriff's investigators believe a man arrested after leading police on a meandering chase across area freeways earlier used the semi truck he was driving to break into to local businesses, investigators said.
Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. John Urquhart said that a man used a semi truck cab to knock down a security gate and set of doors at Young's Market in SeaTac on June 27.
The suspect, who stole cash and cigarettes, did the same thing at the same store on July 3.
Investigators believe the same man used the semi truck to smash through the rear of the Lucky Seven Market on 4th Avenue South on July 6.
That time he stole cash, cigarettes, beer and phone cards.
On Thursday afternoon, police chased a white truck cab for about an hour before the driver stopped on I-405 in Bellevue. No one was injured in the chase and state troopers took the driver into custody.
