The Family Resource Center is sponsoring a Back To School Resource Fair for SeaTac families on Friday, August 24.
Conducted in partnership with local businesses, organizations, school programs and community members, the fair is designed relieve some of the stress as parents gear up to get their children ready for a new year of classes.
Parents will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of resources and supports available to them such as after-school programs, schedules for immunizations and sports exams, affordable childcare and health care providers, and basic assistance programs.
There will also be free products and services available to gets students off to a good start, such as haircuts, school supplies, and some clothing.
Families will find fun activities, refreshments, door prizes, and interpreters in some languages available to enhance their time at the fair.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Family Resource Center, 4040 S. 188t St. (across from Chinook Middle School on South 42nd Street)

The Family Resource Center is a program of Lutheran Community Services Northwest, located in the Village at Angle Lake Community Services Building project, which was developed to address South King County's human services needs and help create an increased sense of community within the city of SeaTac.
