Clever special effects, handcrafted fangs and an eerie original musical score that plays almost nonstop throughout the show ramp up the thrills and chills in Burien Little Theatre's Dracula by Steven Dietz.
Burien Little Theatre's 2007-08 season opener has all of the suspense and seduction of Bram Stoker's classic tale of the famous vampire along with Dietz's take on unexpected evil.
Dracula features actors Michael Albert, Jackie Graybill, Ken Holmes, Thomas Maier, Don MacEllis, Joseph McGuire, Carolyn Monroe, Adrian Moynihan, Anna Richardson and Telisa Steen.
Director Steve Cooper was at the helm of last season's comedy-drama Visiting Mr. Green.
Burien Little Theatre's production runs from Sept. 21 through Oct. 14 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m., plus an encore performance Saturday, Oct. 27 at 10 p.m. only.
Performances are in the theater at the Burien Community Center at Fourth Avenue Southwest and Southwest 146th Street.
Audience members are invited to join the cast for an opening night party with refreshments after the Friday, Sept. 21, performance.
This show is not suitable for children ages 13 and younger due to graphic content.
General admission is $18 Fridays and Saturdays and $15 Sundays. Senior and student admission is $15 for all shows. On Five Buck Friday, Sept. 28, admission is $5; with audience members welcome to donate more.
Groups of 10 or more receive $3 off ticket prices when seats are reserved and paid a week in advance, except on Five Buck Friday.
The remainder of Burien Little Theatre's season features the outrageous Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge from Nov. 23 to Dec. 16, the musical comedy I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change from Feb. 8 to March 2, and the bawdy Greek classic Lysistrata April 4-27.
