In February, Robinson Newspapers reporter Tim St. Clair died at age 57 of pancreatic cancer.
Called "a legend in West Seattle journalism," St. Clair worked nearly 20 years for the West Seattle Herald/White Center News.
Now, Sheila Lengle, advertising manager for Robinson's south-end newspapers, is battling breast cancer. She is in charge of advertising for the Highline Times, Des Moines News, SeaTac News and Federal Way News.
The company decided to show its support and help raise some funds to benefit the Puget Sound Affiliate of Susan G. Komen For the Cure by sponsoring an event.
The event will take place on Aug. 26th at Vino Bello, 636 S.W. 152nd in Burien, from 5 to 9 p.m.
The cost is a $25 donation.
It will feature wine tasting, live music, and catering by Emerald Cove Catering with a raffle at 7 p.m.
The publishers are seeking items or services to raffle off at the event. Anyone interested in donating should call 206-388-1850 or 206-244-VINO by Aug. 22.
