Graffiti tagger bugs neighborhood residents

The resident of a home on the 300 block of Southwest 323rd Street contacted Federal Way police via an online report to let officers know of malicious mischief that is occurrring in his neighborhood. According to the report, the victim stated that an unknown male continues to spray paint on his property without his permission. The vandal is also tagging other pieces of property throughout the neighborhood. The most recent incident took place around 7:50 a.m. on the morning of September 23. The man told officers that the vandal comes by every Saturday between 7 and 11 p.m. and other days as well. The vandal tags the word "dank" on his property. The man said he also tags street signs in the neighborhood. The man told police that he also sees the same word spray painted on signs near the 1st Avenue trail as well. The man hypothesized that the vandal likely lives in the same neighborhood in which he continues to vandalize. The man believes the suspect just waslks by with spray paint and tags things that are convenient, leaving a trail of vandalism down the street. There is no suspect information listed in the report.
Car prowlers steal change, CDs

In an all-too-familiar incident plauging Federal Way's streets, a man contacted Federal Way police to report that an unknown person or persons broke into his vehicle and stole several items from inside. The victim lives on the 32800 block of 20th Avenue South, in an apartment complex there. On the night of September 22 through the morning of September 23, the suspect or suspects gained entry to the victim's maroon 2002 Honda. The victim told Federal Way officers that they returned to the car in the morning to find that several baggies of change were stolen from inside, which carried a combined value of $200. The theives also took their collection of CDs. The victim told police that several other residents of the apartment complex also reported that their cars were broken into as well. There is no suspect information listed in the report and officers have closed the case pending new leads.
Burglar caught in the act while stealing computers
3. Federal Way police followed up on a 911 call indicating that a burglar had gained entrance into an office building and was attempting to steal items from inside. The incident took place at a business located at 1414 South 324th Street in Federal Way. When officers arrived at the scene the intercepted suspect Cory M. Bannan. Bannan was caught in the act of theft and was in possession of two of the laptops that were taken from the scene. The Federal Way police indicated that Bannan was in possession of several burglar tools as well. The incident took place around midnight on the morning of September 23. Cory M. Bannan was arrested at the scene, processed, and booked into the King County Justice Center. There is no other information listed in the report.
Car prowlers damage dash attempting to steal stereo
4. Federal Way police followed up on a report of a car break-in that occurred on the 200 block of South 304th Place. The incdient took place overnight, sometime before 7:50 a.m. on the morning of September 23. According to the vicitm, an unknown person or person broke into their blue 1995 Nissan and damaged the interior. The dash was destroyed in a failed attempt to remove the car stereo from inside. The victim told police that it appears nothing was taken, however the damage to the dash was extensive. The glove box was also emptied out, but it contained nothing of any value the victim said. The victim did not know how the theives gained entry into the vehicle, but she believes she may have accidentally left the doors unlocked overnight. There is no suspect information listed in the report, and officers have closed the case pending new leads.
Five suspicious males spotted walking through neighborhood
5. Federal Way police followed up on a call of suspicous activity that was in progress on the 35400 block of 26th Avenue South. The caller told officers that he and several other witneses spotted five unknown black male subjects walking through the neighborhood going door-to-door suspiciously. The incident took place around 9:50 a.m. on the morning of September 23. According to the report, one of the witnesses saw one of the suspects in handcuffs a few days ago at Safeway when he was detained for a burglary investigation. Federal Way police later stopped a vehicle matching th description of the one used by the suspects. The report states that the officesr arrested the driver for failure to transfer the title of the vehicle. A burglary case is pending. The arrested driver's name is Darnell D. Brown. There is no other information about the other suspects listed in the report.
