This Friday and Saturday the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center hosts a winter open house with the residents of Cooper School Artists Housing.

Dec. 5, from 6 to 11 p.m., there will be a silent auction of resident artist paintings, photography and sculpture work on the ground floor. Artists will also open thier studios and feature performances include shadow puppets and "elevator poetry mayhem."

As well, look for, proposed Delridge Skatepark Celebration and Art Installation in the Movement Studio and Theater; resident film screenings and musical performances in the Theater; All-Access Youth Showcase featuring Arts Corps All-City Break Dance, Youth Media Institute Student Films, Hip-Hop performances and more; an all-ages scavenger hunt, with an iPod Shuffle as grand prize. Light snacks and drinks to be provided.

On Saturday, from 12 to 5 p.m. the ground floor silent auction and the artist studios will be open for the public.
