March 18 at about 9:40 p.m., North Precinct officers received a call of a robbery in the 8700 block of Holman Rd. N.W. Witnesses told officers that the suspect came into the business, ordered a sandwich and attempted to pay with a credit card that was declined.

The suspect left the store returning a few minutes later. The suspect asked for a job application and when the clerk went behind the counter to get one the suspect followed him. He forced the clerk to open the cash register implying he had a weapon in his pocket.

The suspect took handfuls of cash and fled the scene. At K-9 tracked to the rear of the store where the dog lost the scent.
